If a person, while in custody or confinement and held for or charged with a municipal offense, or while in custody or confinement following conviction of a municipal offense, knowingly attempts to escape from said custody or confinement, he is guilty of a Class A municipal offense, and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by imprisonment for not less than one (1) month. Any sentence imposed pursuant to this section shall run consecutively with any other sentences being served by the offender. (Ord. 200 §1, 1982; Amended Ord. 472 §10, 2003)
