A. Pursuant to the power and authority conferred by the laws of the state of Colorado, there is adopted, by reference thereto, the International Existing Building Code, 2018 Edition, together with the chapters of the appendix as set forth below, promulgated by the International Code Council, Inc. (hereinafter “IEBC” or “International Existing Building Code”). The purpose of the IEBC is to provide minimum standards to safeguard life and limb, health, property and the public welfare by regulating and controlling various matters including, but not limited to, the design, construction, quality of materials, use and occupancy, location and maintenance of all buildings and structures within the Town.

B. The following chapter of the appendix of the International Existing Building Code, 2018 Edition, is adopted:
