A. If the sale of any vehicle and its attached accessories or equipment under the provisions of PMC 12.02.100 produces an amount less than or equal to the sum of all the charges of the Town, the Town shall have a valid claim against the owner of record for the full amount of such charges, less the amount received upon the sale of such vehicle. Adequate documentation of applicable costs shall be made prior to sale to ensure Town expenditures are covered. This claim may be enforced in any manner permitted by law.

B. If the sale of any vehicle and its attached accessories or equipment under the provisions of PMC 12.02.100 produces an amount greater than the sum of all charges of the Town plus any liens, any balance then remaining shall be credited to the general fund of the Town.
